Platinum Stars have signed 10 players as they prepare for the upcoming season which kicks off on Friday.
Dikwena general manager Senzo Mazingiza said they have had to do their business economically as they had their budget cut.
Three of the 10 were promoted from Dikwena’s development academy.
“Our academy has done well and I would like to commend our coaches. For the past three seasons we have been able to promote from our development structures. They are doing very well,” said Mazingiza.
He also revealed that Zambian striker Brian Mwila has had to go back home to get an army clearance.
“Mwila had to go back home in Zambia to get his army clearance. He was also a soldier in Zambia.
“There is also a surprise on Friday. We have a few trialists and our coach has told us he is interested in one of them. We dont have an open cheque book and we will have to do serious negotiating,” he added.
